Something weird in my sim

Year 2020. Carolina (Tampa), Yanks, BoSox & Jays all above .500. The Stros are the only other AL team w/more wins than losses. It's Sept 5th & the ChiSox lead the Central w/a 65-69 record. Twins are in 4th, 9 games under .500, but only 2.5 games out of 1st. NYY, Bos & Tor are within 1 game of each other for the 2 WC's. Carolina could be playing the AL's 2nd best record in the 1st round while the 3rd place Astros would be playing the 1st playoff team w/more losses than wins.

Didn't remember that happening. I guess officially that would be the 1st time. But that was a strike season, & thus, an anomaly.

Anyway, it was kind of exciting the way the reg season ended. Twins were down a single game to Detroit when the reg season ended. But had to make up a cancelled game due to weather. Vs Detroit. So Twins beat them 3-1 to pull both of them to 81-81. Detroit won 3-0 the next day to break the tie. So Detroit goes into the postseason w/a plus .500 record by one game.
