AI retiring uniform numbers still needs work.

It seemed fine in OOTP 15, but in 16 the criteria seems a bit strict and inconsistent. I know we can always go in and do it ourselves, but as someone who likes to sim 100+ seasons of league history before playing, it would be nice to go through team histories and see that legends had their numbers retired by the AI teams. It does happen, but it's VERY rare.

Here's one example: Ryan Gray of the Reds. Played parts of 16 seasons for the club (his entire career), winning 2 MVP's, 5 Cy Young awards, 2 rings, and was an 8x All-Star. He's the Reds all-time leader in wins, WAR, shutouts and strikeouts while also placing top 2-5 in many other categories. He's also the holder of many of their single season records.

Call me crazy, but with a career like that, you'd think the team would honor him by retiring #49. They did not.

Meanwhile, the Tigers retired Langton's #18. I guess you could say certain teams would have different standards. But still, I'd like to see this worked on for OOTP17, if possible.

My team has 6 players with numbers retired. Am thinking alot of it is based on HOF factors (guessing ) However with that thinking it wouldn't be too far off base. However players like Nolan Ryan has 3 teams retired his number. Would be interesting to say the least

I have found that a player must retire while on the roster of a major league team in order to have his jersey retired. This essentially eliminates those who finish their careers in the minors or as free agents from consideration.

Hmm, this is interesting. If this is the case, hopefully Markus and Matt have taken note and this can be fixed for OOTP 17.

Definitely shouldn't be the case, but I'll have another look through.

Matt, did you end up having a chance to take a look into this?

I'm hoping uniform retirement by the AI is much improved for OOTP 17. I love the feature, but I feel it was better in 15 than 16. At least from my experiences.
