Issue with Purging.

Posted this in Bug Thread, but figured I should see if this is an issue others have had/fixed as well.

Created a 1SL, 8D, 12T per (96 total) league. No minors, no feeder.

Modeled after NCAA, so custom schedule to play F-S-S only. Players are eligible for the league from 18-21 (will allow for up to 4 seasons). All new created players each year are 18.

Have a couple of recurring issues.

1) Will randomly crashing when simming large periods of time. Not any specific dates. (turned off threading, and may have fixed this part).

2) I have "delete all of those who don't reach majors" UNchecked. However, it'll randomly (usually at the end of simming or making rule changes) re-check the box and say "'x' amount of players were deleted".

At first, I thought it was because I had it classified as COL. I've since re-started from a backup, changing it to ML before any games are played, and recreated the problem. Have also recreated the same problem by starting from a brand new file (no template loaded) by the end of season 1.

think this is related to the last patch. i mentioned it in a post about losing my International complex, which is supposed to be addressed in an upcoming patch. Hopefully this issue will be in that one as well.

Hope so too. Crushing for me, as I like to have a history of all the players ever. With this few players in my universe, should be easily able to keep them all for a century+

the note in the update post mentions the international complex has problems if you have one setting on and another turned off...

maybe internation FA on and amatuers off etc... you'll have to read the post for hte exact info, but it sounds like what post #2 mentions here.

I have international FA and scouting finds both set to "off".

so do i, and i checked my international FA on a whim and i have 16 players in there, demanding $35,000 to $50,000 signing bonus .... and this is for a 1902 era game???? Since the highest paid player in my game is currently about $3500 a year, obviously none of them were going to be picked up! just haven't deleted them yet to see if their demands change.

edit:

ooops, i do NOT have scouting finds set off, it's at 2 players .... so maybe those players from each team are ending up as IAFA? Dunno.

i was wrong on which settings are involved.

its int'l discoveries and int'l fa. one on, one off.. .check the update post for specifics. or maybe more... either way it causes the complex to clear.

The international complex and the delete retired player bugs will both be fixed by a hotfix we will be releasing this week.
