What Should The ABF MVP Award Be Called?

Currently it is the Babe Ruth Award, should I keep it or call it the Ty Cobb Award? BTW Ruth has 1121 HR the other 1 got cut off. Used to be called the Dan Brouthers Award.

Ruth's 99 homer 199 RBI season is just hysterical.

Name it after him.

So you hate every award in every sport? The MLB Roty is called the Jackie Robinson award. I think the MVP is the Mountain Landis Award.

How did Ruth hit 99 homers and Cobb have a career average over .400? I presume the league skill level is lower than standard MLB and these stars are just imported in and thus dominate weaker competition?

I use neutralized stats. MLB ERA in 1938 was 4.28. AL in the ABF was 4.58. Lefty Gomez went 31-10 2.68 359 IP i try to limit how many real players i import each year but their were many real MLB stars in the league at the time. Fictional players tend to be worse then MLB for offense but better for pitching.

I'd probably go for Cobb. I mean look at the overall numbers and he seems to be a bit above Ruth. Although who won more MVPs?

I absolutely think

it should be the Ty Cobb Award. Has a nice ring to it.

Shoeless Joe, because he deserves recognition by baseball. He is blackballed because others threw the 1919 World Series.
