Bringeport or Oakland?

The news article says this player signed with Bridgeport, when in reality, he signed with Oakland.

His "acquired" line says he was purchased from Bridgeport, and he is on a minor league contract despite having signed for $15,500.

This means that he was purchased by Oakland immediately after being signed by independent Bridgeport, which shouldn't be happening. So technically the bug isn't what you thought it was, but it's a new wrinkle on the sign-and-release bug from years past.
