Cleveland Fans Question
How how how is it that there are so many Cub fans inside Jacobs? I mean, this is just crazy.
Anyway... GO TRIBE. |

Also can someone shove Joe Buck in front of a streetcar, bus or under a falling piano or maybe meteor?

Same way the Tigers routinely take over the park when they play in Cleveland. Cleveland fans are too busy rooting for the joke of a football team they call the Browns to realize they have a baseball team.
Apologies to the actual good Indians fan out there. I know there's quite a few of you, I'm friends with quite a few. But that good of a team ranking 28th in all of baseball in attendance is an absolute joke. |

Attendance has been a joke since the Dolan's took over, and it's unfortunate because we do have a great team here. I look at the World Series attendance like this....there are maybe 8,000 or 9,000 season ticket holders. If all of them bought World Series tickets, that still leaves roughly 27,000 available tickets that were made available to anyone who wanted to pay for them. Chicago is a 5 hour drive, so of course Cubs fans jumped online and bought tickets. It has nothing to do with lack of fans in Cleveland, just everyone had the same opportunity to get tickets. Had the Dodgers beat the Cubs, it would not have been as noticeable.

Indians Fans are not sending their best. Most of them are old, noisy, and boring. Some, I'm sure are good people, but nonetheless, they need to be reported.

I don't think regular season attendance has anything to do with anything. I'm sure they didn't have any trouble selling tickets. I think proximity (heck, Cubs fans in IN and MI might only be 3 hours away) and how big this is for the Cubs (once in a lifetime to date) plays the biggest role. It's probably easier for Cubs fans to get a ticket to the road game. Size difference of the cities is important too. |

Just curious, how many of y'all would rather avoid the idiots and simply enjoy a "big game" from the comfort of your home? I did read that Cleveland had huge a television ratings number for last nights game. Is it worth it to pay the ticket price and end up sitting by Larry the drunk guy and his buddy Curly?
Still wish television would invent a way to mute the announcers, but keep the crowd noise. Last edited by David Watts; 10-27-2016 at 11:22 AM. |

I live and work about 10 miles outside downtown, and just getting down there is a nightmare...plus they are charging $100 in some lots just to park...these are the same lots that charge $10 during the regular season too. I have a bunch of friends that went to both games, and they said once they got there it was fine, but unless you take an Uber or the RTA (our version of the train/subway), you are going to spend at least an hour just trying to get down there.
I was at the 1995 World Series, so I guess I already have that crossed off my bucket list, plus I hate big crowds, so I am much happier sitting on my couch watching the game...too many "amateurs" out there. |

BUT, I didn't have to pay whatever online prices were. I used my work tickets for some games, traded some Chiefs tickets with a friend who had inside track on tickets with the Royals, and then also sat in Steve Crawford's alumni seats for a bunch of games. But I'd like to know why A-Rod and Pete Rose were selected to serve as analysts. Surely, there are other former major leaguers out there who could have been picked. Watching those two guys really gets on my nerves. I have no problem seeing so many Cubs fans in our stadium, although I wish more of our own fans were there. I just hope the Cubs fans have a great time in our city while they are here, no matter who wins tonight. Cleveland has a lot to offer visitors.

I'd watch the game on TV in Great Lakes Brewing on Market. Best of all worlds.

A friend of mine had tickets for tonight, paid $450 each for his 4 seats. He was offered $1200 a ticket by a Cubs fan.
