"ootp17.exe has stopped working"

So I just bought this game off of steam and when I started it I clicked New Standard game and selected all the leagues and hit start and it say "ootp17.exe has stopped working".

Sorry for the problems. Can you start other games, such as quickstart games, games with fewer leagues, etc...?

Most likely it is an install issue, or your computer doesn't have enough disk space left. Please verify that you do have adequate space left for saved games, and that your folder that it was installed to has full access permissions.

You may try re-installing the game as it's possible something didn't install correctly. If you still have problems, I would suggest going through our support system as we may be able to better guide you through your specific issues (Submit a ticket - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software)

Could memory be an issue? If he could post his system specs, it might help pin down the problem.

Or, possibly an error log?

I'm getting this notice repeatedly for the last 24 hours.
I've gotten maybe one or two league games in, then this AM, I tried to play a game several times and it won't let me get passed the bottom of the first inning. I have not been able to play at all today.

I've rebooted, updated .net framework 4.6.2 to the latest version, made sure all other applicable updates were applied and verified I'm running the latest OOTP version of 17.9.60.

Windows 10.0.10586 Pro
Intel Core i5-4210U CPU
8GB RAM
