Fictional League starting transitioning from 80s to 90s
Hi friends,
I’ve recently started a Fictional League, and I started it in 1980 with all 1980 settings. I had the CPU auto-play all seasons until 1990 to get some historical data, and I will start managing in 1990. My question is, I know OOTP models performance of players depending on the era they play in. So, can I expect the players in my league to slowly transition to becoming more home-run heavy as I progress through the 90s (to model the outrageous power numbers we saw in the 90s), or is there a fair degree of randomness to how the majority of players will develop? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. |

Depending on the options you choose, the game can either progress in a similar manner as real life baseball did, or it can keep a steady state based on your initial setup.
I don't have the game available on this computer in order to give you specific direction regarding the settings, so hopefully someone else will chime in soon. I think there are a few boxes that you need to check (or not check), related to automatically importing various historical items, in order to get the game to do what you want. |
