few bugs/crashes

-After changing scouting controls to assistant and then back, i was no longer able to assign a scout to my own players(rightclickmenu).

-After 1 season the homepage news feed stopped updating. The main news feed page continued to work fine.

-(noticed this on my 3rd season) searching players in OHL(with a few search options) temporarily crashed the game. It would alternate between the windowed & fullscreen pages+ the screen would turn white. If i left it for a couple min the game would return to normal but offering a contract/switching between players/opening a profile would continue to temporarily crash & lag out the game.

Did you try deleting your email history? Believe it may get filled up contributing to not seeing it on the home page.

Do you remember which options you had selected? I can't replicate this one.

pretty sure it was OHL+Deselected restricted FA + ages 18-22+. I might of had "signable" selected also.

ran into another glitch.

- had a bunch of injuries, within a few weeks of eachother. 9 players injured. After calling players up from AHL and filling the spots i wasnt able to continue the sim. Kept telling me i didnt have enough players to make a lineup even though my NHL+AHL+echl lineups were full and ready to go. I double checked all my rosters and everything was fine.

-just recalled that after i got to 9 injured and had called up my replacements. I hit the "assistant create lines" to fill them in. I think this is where the bug came in that wouldn't let me continue the sim.

update-- just figured out it was because i had called up a RW and placed him in my bottom D pairing . After scratching him and calling up a D man from the ECHL i was able to continue.

Guys I need help!
Just bought the game on steam.
Installed it, and when I start the game the loading procedure stops at 33% and then the game crashes. Has anyone met with this? Whats the problem?

I dont know if this is the right topic to write about this problem.

Yes, I would tend to agree since you may miss some news stories not realizing they aren't populating....maybe a future enhancement to correct this.

I dont know if this is the right topic to write about this problem.

Can you try to right click on your game in the Steam menu and then click on 'Launch Options' and enter the following text:

tracemode usedesktopopengl

If that doesn't work (I'm not entirely sure it will on Steam) then go to where the game is actually installed and right click on the FHM3.exe file and create a shortcut to it and then right-click on it to open the context-menu.

At the bottom, there should be a "Properties" option. Click on it. The dialog which will pop-up should contain a text box "Target" which contains the command to start FHM3. It will end on fhm3.exe. G

Go to the end of that line and add: tracemode usedesktopopengl

Let me know if that helps. If it doesn't can you please send us your trace file?

You can do so by by going to 'settings' > 'troubleshooting' and click the button 'Open Trace File'.

Then attach that file to a post here on the board, or email it to support@ootpdevelopments.com and we'll look into the issue.

heres a picture of the game when its kinda lagging out, it does return to normal after you leave it. so just a ui issue. Seems to happen when searching league after season 1.
