Disabled List Bug
My online league (MLSB) has had two incidences of a bug where an injured player from the MLB roster to the Disabled List does not create an opening on the MLB roster.
For instance, if SP Joe Smith on my MLB roster gets hurt and I move him to the DL, my MLB roster says 24/25, but when I try to add a player, it says I can't because the roster is full. This does not happen every time and, frankly, it's only happened to two teams (the Reds and now the Cubs). For the Reds, we were able to work around the issue by editing the player to the minors and moving him to the DL there. We will likely do that with the Cubs as well, but my fear is that if we didn't catch it in time, we would have to back even further to get it corrected. I've uploaded our file and named it BugMLSB.lg... the player on the Cubs you can replicate this issue with is 3B Cameron Audette. Thanks, Bret |

For some reason, the team's roster internally got full (not the active roster, but another roster which we use to track everyone associated with the team like DL and DFA guys). Not sure how that could have happened, but we can definitely clear that up for next year's version. Right now, the way you solved the problem appears to be the best way to handle things. You can maybe try to do the auto-manage minors or have the AI set up the whole organization for those teams running into trouble - I can't guarantee that those will work, but it's possible they could jiggle stuff around enough to fix this issue.

Definitely disappointed there isn't anything that can be done now... we've had our third team dealing with this now and it's getting to be a real problem. Thanks, Bret |
