Asst. GM

I am playing the game as GM.
I assigned my Asst. GM to take care of hireings and fireings personal at the minor league level.
But nothing happens, so I have to do it myself.
What is the purpose of having an Asst. that does nothing?

I don't have any problems with it, the Assistant GM takes care of it - unless the Assistant GM is vacant.

never had a problem.

dont expect him to fill all spots overnight. if i hire staff, it takes a few days usually for them to accept

and as mentioned, make sure you have an actual Assistant GM hired

As goes personnel, Marsup's right. Nothing happens immediately. When it does, it'll likely be toward the end of the season when contracts either are or are not renewed. I doubt you'll see any firing from the AGM. My suspicion is he'll deal with voids, after a non-renewal or, potentially, a retirement.

I have my AGM assigned to hire and fire at the Minor League level as well. What I find necessary though is to intervene in providing contract extensions to those that have a 'Good' or better reputation and to promote them into a higher level if vacant or even do a firing myself to create that vacancy. If you don't intervene you potentially lose out on having a valuable coach in the Majors who has been brought through your organization.
