Can't find saved game or backup

Hey guys,

I apologize if this isn't a bug but rather a user error but this seemed like the most applicable forum.

I spent several hours last night creating a league that I had an idea for for some time. I created teams, feeders, and logos for all of the major teams as well as colors. It took me some time to put all of this together as you can imagine. Once I had finished up I created a backup of the league right then and there so I could restart if I had to from the beginning once I began simming. I distinctly remember it being successful because it mentioned the exact number of files being backed up.

From there, I loaded another game I had in OOTP and made adjustments to that game without actually saving my original league. I'm used to OOTP automatically saving a game when switching to another one. However, when I got up this morning, I could not find my league or my saved backup anywhere. Is there an issue on my end? Did I good up by not manually saving the game?
