Indy League and Extensions (AI doesn't know they are off)

So usually to emulate Indy leagues you should contract extensions off. The default contract length is 1 year I think but people have suggested 2 years. However playing as an Indy GM for the first time I'm getting emails from players begging me to extend their contract! That's a minor annoying bug but the worse is that in my finances during the offseason the AI sets aside money for extensions which reduces the amount you have to sign free agents. That should definitely be fixed.

The demands for extensions are purely cosmetic, albeit annoying. I play in an on-line league without extensions and get those messages frequently. So far as I can tell, they have no effect on anything.

Money available for free agents is money on hand (budget room plus cash). It isn't affected by money available for extensions, which is based on cash plus projected budget room next year.
