Game crashes when I type on my keyboard

As mentioned in the title, the game crashes when I type on my keyboard. I purchased the game from Steam and I'm using a MacBook Pro. No matter if I am in the starting menu, playing out a game or browsing through a saved game, it crashes whenever I presses a key on my keyboard. So I think it's probably not related to a particular saved game. Everything else looks fine though and I can use my mouse to click with no problem. What's wrong? Thanks.

What model MacBook Pro are you using?

Is the OS fully up to date? What other programs are running at the same time as OOTP, if any?

It's a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports). I just updated the system but it's still crashing. I am not running any other program significant enough (just Safari) to affect the game I think.

I also received this message when I restart the game.

OOTP 19 is attempting to launch with the optional parameters shown below: "'-psn_0_716975'" If you did not request this launch or do not understand these options, select cancel.

And also the error message from OOTP is the following:

OOTP found that the crashed_on_startup flag is set. Obviously the game crashed when you started it last time. OOTP will reset the graphics setting to default values. You can set them back later in the game preferences dialog.

On both occasions, the game continues to crash whenever I press a key on the keyboard.
