Trading AI: "Favor Veterans" Versus "Favoring Prospects"

Can someone please clarify what this means?

Does this mean that the AI favors veterans and will give up prospects to acquire a veteran, or that the AI favors prospects and never wants to let them go in a trade?

In other words, if I have a 30-year-old veteran that I would like to shop in a trade (dump veteran for prospects to clear room for a younger player on my roster), how do I set the Trading AI to offer mostly prospects in return?

Favor veterans.

In order to balance out the substandard trade AI, it's pretty important to set it to Hard/Very Hard and Favor/Heavily Favor prospects. Otherwise, you can basically ask for and get anything.

it will influence the sliders of GM/coaches.

they will weight them less/more as appropriate to the setting in trades or choosing between 2 of their own players involved in a decision.

the hard difficulty setting is only for humans.. that won't affect AI trading.

i disagree that it is a must to do anything here. if you make it favor one, you can abuse the other more and more easily acquire them.

relative to one person's preference, it can be harder or easier. if you want to make it harder on yourself and you prefer one over the other.. make sure the AI weighs that type more prominently in its decisions.

all a matter of context, really. no 1 solution here.

i prefer neutral.. i want ratings and stats to be the concern and not age so much. trust me, you have to sell the house to get a trout or harper - as a vet or a hotshot prospect in MiL, if you even have enough good assets to do so at neutral. there's no magic cheat, here.
