Moving/Copying Players

Bear with me as I try to properly articulate this. I have a small online league I run with 3 of my friends and we've just started our 55th season (date is 2055) during the 2052 season I had a serious crash and laptop malfunction and I thought i had lost the only master copy of the league (i only upload player histories for the major league players, none of the minor leagues/international leagues/feeder leagues). Since it crashed and it didn't look like my laptop would be back anytime soon i just grabbed a copy off one of my friends and we moved the season along it wasn't until a few months of simming into the newest season that a couple of my friends noticed that some of their retired players had completely disappeared... they no longer existed in the game and had been erased from history. In the list of past award winners the name Jim Unknown appears and any spots they held on the all time records were no longer there.

I just got my laptop back and the techs were able to save all the files i had but that file/game is set in 2052 while we are now at 2055. Is there anyway to move or copy the two historical/retired players we lost into our new game? I hope that this wasn't too confusing.
