Player on another team's 40 man

Hey everybody, I'm the commissioner of an online league and I'm running into an issue where a player is on a team's 40 man roster, but said player is a member of another team's organization. I've tried releasing the player, deleting the player, etc, but nothing seems to work. Has anybody run into this issue before?

I think I've seen that somehow. Not sure how, but I believe the fix is to move them to said team, and then back to who they're supposed to belong to, using the function in the player editor screen.
