Scheduling question

The "create a whole new league" bug has bit me again. Partially because my hard drive fried last weekend and I lost everything I have done over the last number of years playing this game. As much as that sucks it gives me the opportunity to create something new. So that's cool. To my question:

I'm working on a league that would start in the 1840's where teams would not play an equal amount of games against each other or in total. So one team may play 12 games the other 7 and so on. I know how to create a schedule in the pre-season. Have done a bunch. Does anyone know however if I can add games as I go in the regular season in commish mode?

I don't have the game in front of me so I can't test it out right now. I would imagine that there has to be some type of schedule or the season won't start. I would also imagine that I would have to at least have a game at the back end of the schedule or the game will finish the season since the schedule would be empty. So could I schedule a game say in April and then one in October and fill in the middle as I see fit as the season plays out for example?

you can edit a schedule to your heart's content. league settings - options - click edit schedule... go to date and add/remove games etc... schedule a "series" or 1 game at bottom of that scrreen and add.

if it's a large league, that's going to be slow/tedious work per team (well half that # since it takes 2 to play a baseball game).

even change event list dates for "end of reg season" or "playoffs begin" as needed.

you could edit the one generated in game and then export it for future use.

you could make a custom schedule from scratch too. (check mods forum-schedules just in case one exists that meets your needs... not likely with some teams having different # of games, though)

maybe you find one that can be easily modified though etc... worth the trip.
