We have all leagues selected as well as we will be going with short Season that way we can auto sim the 2020 and we will be starting our season at the end of the 2020 Season soon as the World Series is done.

We have decided to play as an expansion team. We have decided to expand the MLB by 2 teams

MLB – Montreal Expos (NL East) (Previously was in this division before they moved to Washington)
AAA – Edmonton Trappers (International League North Division)
AA – Trois-Riveres (Eastern League / East Division)
A+: Ottawa Rapids (Florida State League / FSL North)
A: Manitoba Marines (Plays out of Winnipeg/Midwest League/East Division)
A-: Prince George Kings (Northwest League / North Division)

The way that the Montreal Expos Minor Leagues are two things:

As you can see all but two of our minor leagues are in Canada as I wanted to have most of our minor league clubs play out of Canada

The reason why we have placed our Minor Leagues in the ones we did as Some of you may or may not know is Toronto and Montreal have a huge Rival so I wanted to carry it onto this Save.

Also one thing I will point out that we will be using the 1997 MLB Expansion draft that the Arizona and Tampa used with the 15 player’s protection however we changed the auto protect players with less than 5 years of service

We were given a two year deal at 100,000 per year until end of 2021

Jeff Hamilton was named as Hitting coach for Manitoba while Claudio Liverziani as Manager for Trois-Riveres. They have named Takamasa Shibara from Japan as Edmonton AA Manager

Kai Correra was named as the Expos Gulf Coast Hitting Coach.

Previously served as San Fran Giants MLB hitting coach. Previous season had a record of 71-91 .438 Pct 34 GB with a .253 Avg 4.03 ERA 638 RS 695 RA 3rd Position

November 4th

Jose Tolentino from Mexico was named for Ottawa A+ hitting coach

Matt Blake was named as Manitoba A Pitching coach. Matt previously served as New York Yankees pitching coach in MLB this past season.
They had a record of 103-59 .636 Pct with a 268 Avg 3.83 ERA 883 RS 657 RA 1st position

Ken Kato from Japan was named as Dominican Expos Manager while Rudy Pemberton as their hitting coach

Frank Castillo was named as Prince George Low A Pitching coach

Andres Urbina who is a power pitchers coach from Venezuela as Hamilton Expos Pitching coach.

Previously served as LA Dodgers DSL Team this past season. They had a record of 32-40 .444 PCT with 20 GB. They also had .243 Avg .379 ERA 282 RS 294 RA 8th Position.

The MLB schedule came out today. Montreal opens the season with a two game series vs Mets at home on April 6th and 7th. The Expos head on the road for the battle of the expansions against Portland on May 18th to 20th. In the battle of Canada Blue Jays come to town on June 25th to 27th. Their last home series is a 4 game series against the old Expos in Washington Nationals on September 27th to 30th. They then end the regular season with a 3 game series against Miami Marlins on Oct 1st to 3rd.

As ML teams get ready for spring training, Montreal Expos have released Cameron Baranek, Ridge Smith, Kyle Overstreet and Wilfredo Rodriguez

Minor League News:

Edmonton Trappers (AAA) start their regular season with a 4 game home series against Columbus Clippers (CLE MLB) on April 15th to 18th. They finish the home side of the season on September 3rd to 5th against Rochester Red Wings (MIN MLB). Edmonton ends the regular season on the road against Columbus Clippers (CLE MLB) on September 10th to 12th.

Trois-Riveres Saints (AA) start their regular season with a 4 game home series against Binghamton Rumble Poines (NYM AA). The AA HR Challenge and HR game is scheduled for June 24th to 26th weekend. The Saints finish their regular season with a home series against Richmond Flying Squirrels (SF AA) on September 13th to 15th.

Ottawa Rapids (A+) opens their regular season on the road with a 4 game series against Charlotte Stone Crabs (TB A+) with a 1 game series before it has 3 home games in the 4 game series. The All-star weekend is also scheduled for June 24th to 26th weekend. Ottawa has a 3 game series at home against S.t Luice Mets (NYM A+) on September 13th to 15th.

Manitoba Mariners (A) open their regular season on home field with a 4 game series against Cedar Rapids Kernels (MIN A) on April 15th to 18th. Again the all-star is scheduled for June 24th to 26th. Manitoba ends the season with a 3 game home series on September 13th to 15th against Lansing Lugnuts (TOR A).

The other 4 group game schedules will be announced in May.

The MLB Spring Training finished yesterday. Montreal Expos finished with a 11-19 record tied with Phillies for last in NL East. Portland also finished last in AL West

Montreal (DSL) Expos scheduled was released. They open their season against Philadelphia on June 5th to 7th at home. The Dominican all-star weekend is scheduled for July 10th to 12th. The Expos (DSL) last home series is against Cleveland (DSL) on August 14th to 16th. Our (DSL) expos will finish the season against Pittsburgh 1 (DSL) Pirates on August 21st to 23rd.

Prince George Kings (A-) has announced their schedule. The kings start their season off with a 2 game series on the road on June 23rd to 24th against Tri-City Dust Devils (SD A-). All Star weekend is scheduled for August 1st to 3rd. The Kings last home game series is a 3 game series on September 8th to 10th against Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (SF A-). The kings finish their season on the road against Boise Hawks (COL A-)

Also I forgot to mention Montreal Scouting found Hector Marin back on April 5th 2021. The 16 yr old is from Curacaoan and 2nd Nationality is Dutch.



May 29th

The Hamilton Expos schedule begins a 4 game road series against Bristol Pirates on June 28th to July 1st. We have our first Expos/Jays series on July 2nd to 4th at home. Our Legaue all-star game is August 1st to 3rd with HR Challenge and All Star game. Our end of the season series is against Johnson City Cardinals (STL R) on September 8th to 10th.

Montreal (GCL) Expos open their season against Expansion Portland Pioneers Gulf Coast Team on June 28th to July 1st.Their League All Star game is scheduled for July 25th to 27th. The GCL Expos finish the regular season with a home series against Gulf Coast Rays on August 26th to 28th.

The MLB 2021 draft is just around the corner on June 4th with International FA signing beginning on July 2nd
