Can't sim past Oct 6th, keeps crashing

Hello,

I bought the game today on Steam. Everything was working fine. But for some reason I can't get past Oct 6th. It'll crash and brings me right back to Steam.

Any help greatly appreciated, thank you

If you can upload that save (instructions here), we can take a look and try to see what exactly is going wrong.
