CPU-controlled teams signing free agents then immediately releasing/waiving them
As a test I've been simming the first 10 years and viewing the result. One thing I've noticed happening repeatedly is teams signing free agents, often prominent free agents and to big contracts, but then immediately releasing them. This seems like a glitch in the beta. If it's a mistake in my settings somewhere, could someone let me know?

There was a bug in the initial version. It should be better in the patch we just released, and there's a few more improvements that will come in the next build.

Hi Matt - I ran a few more tests post-patch and it seems to still be happening pretty regularly.

This has been an issue for years, has always happened in my leagues.
I mainly play leagues without minors, there is a 30 man roster and 15 man reserve roster. In my current game it is only 3 teams doing it, I fixed one by firing the GM but the other two were not fix by that. Currently in the league those 3 teams have Misc. Expenses that are 60% higher then every other team due to the Sign/Release bug. Makes the game also unplayable. |
