The amateur Draft prior to the 2019 season

In a league with a fictional setup but importing real/historic players I had a problem with the draft entering the 2019 season:

Players had been imported and drafted into the game when they made their historic minor league debut in the previous drafts (since starting in 1980). In the 2019 draft the pool was comprised of only players who made their MLB debut that season (Bo Bichette, Vlad Jr., Tatis jr., etc.).

Besides the issue with a smaller draft pool (~220 players) all the players had previously been drafted when their minor league careers started so I now have double players.
