Best Players all Put on Waivers

As I was simming through a part of the season I received a message that my team was below the salary floor. I looked at the roster and found all my best players were on waiver

What could cause this to happen? And is there any way to load a previous save point?

Below the floor wouldn't normally result in that, that's usually a sign that the AI is trying to get under the cap and can't make trades because the rest of the league is having severe cap trouble as well. But if you go to your save folder and copy the contents of the rs_one or rs_two folders (try the one with the most recently-dated files first) into your main folder, it may roll the game back to before the date that happened.
