Tips for managing spring training games?

So, I've played my first actual season, and am at next year's Spring Training. And, this has me a bit lost strategically. I get that I don't care about winning or losing now and I should be trying to get guys some playing time, but how much? Should I be focusing on guys who I think will be mainstays? How much should I be limiting my pitchers pitch-counts -- 50 pitches? 20? 70? Also, I don't know if I have the patience to manage games where I don't care about winning or losing, so how would I tell the AI "rotate players a lot, try to get everyone some experience"?

The manual is also a great resource

Enjoy

The main thing is that players do need to play in spring

I am conservative when it comes to spring training.

I get my most important hitters at least 30 PA's
Relievers 5-8 innings
Starters I build up 1,2,3,4,5

That seems to be sufficient. I've never noticed that my players start the season off any worse than anyone else's. Maybe one could get away with less. I don't know

I build my position players up very gradually.
During the first week, my potential MLB hitters get 1 PA then they're out of the game, and then get a day off.
Second week they get 2 PA's then a day off
Third week 1 PA for 2 consecutive games, then a day off
Fourth week 2 PA for 2 consecutive games, then a day off
Fifth week 2 PA every day

As you can imagine, my minor league players get a lot of playing time. I'm constantly rotating players on and off the spring training roster.

By the time spring training is over, I know my team pretty well, and am ready to sim weeks at a time so I don't have to look at these players any more.

And, sometimes and some sims, I don't want to do that and just let the AI handle it. And that works fine too. The AI does substitute for starters, but gives them a lot more playing time than I do.
