the issue with changing lineups

I've seen multiple threads on this in boards for previous versions of the game, but I seem to be having the same issue and not sure what to do , so any help is appreciated.

I have set lineups on the Lineups page, and included depth charts with instructions on how often to change players, "Never, when tired, etc.).

I also have checked to make sure I am the person responsible for the lineups, not the bench coach. I am setup as the GM and Manager and do everything.

I don't have anything in the 7-day lineups. I don't have any injuries.

Still, quite frequently, I click on Play Game and the lineup it shows me is something totally different than what I have put in Lineups. I would like to autoplay a bit more games than I currently do, but I don't want to have the AI or whatever changing my lineups like this.

Can anyone help me? I must be missing something, but what?
