It took 131 years, but it finally happened again.

According to my exhaustive research (i.e., Googling it), the only time an MLB pitcher threw a no-hitter in his MLB debut was Bumpus Jones of the Cincinnati Reds in 1892.

Well it happened again in my Rays save on July 1, 2023:

And here's what makes it really weird with Fitterer: He threw 144 pitches, striking out 10 and walking 5, but the guy isn't even really a starting pitcher! Note his stats coming in over the last couple of seasons:

The guy was basically a relief pitcher, and the AI had him throw 144 pitches, so I expect to see "injury, diagnosis pending" after his next start.

i did some math and he averaged 4.5 pitches per batter... we know for a fact he threw 30 strikes and 20 balls given the 10 strikeouts and 5 walks....so thats 50 pitches to 15 ppl plus maybe another 10 strikes if they were full count walks so thats 60 divide by 15 people for an average of 4 pitches and the rest of the 84 pitches divided by the last 17 people for an average of 4.9 pitches

i also could just divided 144 by 32 batters faced

Taking a guy out when he has a No-hitter going, especially on his debut, would take some balls from a manager. 144 Pitches is really pushing it though.

Hopefully, by 2023 more people will realize that no-hitters are team accomplishments, not individual accomplishments

You nerd'ed the crap out of that. Well done, sir.

The guy who threw the no-no... What is his Stamina rating, please?

It's showing as 60 currently. He's made a couple of 6-inning starts since then throwing around 100 pitches each time.

Ahhh cool. When you mentioned that he's technically a reliever I was wondering if he was a 30-40 Stamina reliever capable of lasting that long. I've never run any tests to see how they might do - like using an RP (30 Stamina) to start and just see how well and how deep can he go over 20 appearances.

There are so many fun and interesting things that I'd like to do with OOTP, but I can't bear the thought of OOTP on my laptop being unavailable to me due to some long running tests. May we run OOTP 21 on a second computer with a single license? Does anyone know how that works? And will ootp be okay on a Windows Server OS machine? Dual Xeon CPUs, 96 GB RAM okay?
