Name glitch

The game has set every player's name to "Jim Smith" or some variant of that and all new players are being generated as "Jim Smith". I'm unable to use my backup files to change it back.

Something in your name file corrupted.

It may not be perfect, but create a new game with the same parameters that your current game, let it load, close it down. Copy the names.dat file from that save to yours and it should fix the majority of them.
