Yeah, I didn't want to say anything — let us not turn this into a political thing, please — but now I will note that the public is thinking that the pardon would be for gambling. Yet, there is no conviction for that to be pardoned. The only thing Rose could be pardoned for is his 1990 conviction for filing fraudulent tax returns. Moreover, this has no bearing on whether Rose can be admitted to the HoF.
