Or the term psychobabble? All in fun though Deja. Nice finish to your season.

Upon further research, molecular physics was around in 1908, but I cannot find when the term was coined. But according to Merriam-Webster, the first use of 'psychobabble' was in 1975. We should inform them that they are mistaken!...

Just shows how far Bru is ahead of his time!

Nevertheless, this needs replacement with the word "humbug"

Or press conferences. Or "local media." In an era when newspapers were the only medium of mass information, there were no other "media."

Not sure if this news item can be limited to the modern era. That's not my department.

All of this is an example of how I "mentally squint" when playing OOTPB in the early days of baseball.

I have to "mentally squint" in my league from 1903 too. I have to ignore the stadium lights and PA announcer. I did get rid of the Billy Squire song and changed the advertisements. I changed the cell phone ads for newspaper ads from the local area.

Yeah, they do mostly a good job of filtering things by date but some stuff does leak through regardless. If I find any more (like "psychobabble," as mentioned above), I will post it here. Not for correction, but for amusement.

I think its all OK. After all, the script to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was intentionally written in modern English including repeated use of the word "Bingo" which didn't exist at the time.
