Ratings of 1 in historical, is this a bug?
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place. I started a 2007 historical league, import all minors, set up to base ratings on career stats, with the OOTP engine then taking over. ratings on 100% accurate, 20-80 scale. Doing an expansion. I have pitchers showing up wiht decent overall ratings, but problems under the covers. Ryan Dreese shows as a 40/50 SP. but, his individual pitch ratings are all currently 1. Another SP has a movement rating of 1, but is listed overall as 35. I tried starting over, tried re-scouting, same problem. Any idea what would cause this? should I try another year?

bumping again to see if there are any thoughts. just started a new historical, 2006, 100% accurate. Eric Gagne, for example, is rated overall 2stars, potential 2stars. He has 3 pitches, all with current ratings of 1 and potential ratings of 120 plus. he's 30. so his 2.5 star current rating makes no sense, and his potential doesnt' either, as he's too old to improve.

Drese did not pitch in 2007 and Gagne pitched 2 innings in 2006.

I know they both sucked, that's not my issue. my problem is that their overall current and potential ratings are for some reason way above what their actual ratings would reflect
