number of wins in a 162 game season

I was wondering what was the record for most wins in a season that anyone has achieved on this game

In my Rays save in 2028, I won 122 games and followed that up with a WS title. I'm sure others have had higher totals.

I’ve gotten to 112 in my fictional league.

I had a team win 127 and lose in the LCS.

Worse than that was having a 113 win team lose the LCS to a 80 win team in 5 games. Pitchers with like 40/45/45 stuff/mov/con and season ERAs north of 5.5 kept throwing absolute gems and dominated my top ranked lineup. Guys with 35/35 con/pow were banging 3 run homers against Cy Young contenders. It was horrible.

I backed up that save (to save what "really" happened and to continue later from that backup) and loaded up a save when the series was starting. I wanted to see the teams face off with a bigger sample size and without me as manager.

Second try: Lose 4-1.
Third try: Lose 4-1.
Fourth try: Win in 7.
Fifth try: Lose in 7.

Record overall: 10W 19L

At that point it could still be RNG but I tend to think there was something else behind the curtain affecting my players. I mean, there was a whopping 33 game difference between these teams in the season...

My best is 126 in a real powerhouse team. It was the 4th WS in a row for them. However there was something unique about that season and the NL west. See the standings. Four 90+ win teams two of which missed the playoffs. The WC Padres got swept 4-0 in the Division series.

Note; all series were 4 of 7.

I had a 124-win season once, which capped off a run of five consecutive championships. That team also won 119 games twice and 116 games once during that stretch.

Most wins in one of my games was 114 , not my team, the '36 Yankees

I think for me my highest was like 141 or something? I did around that number like 3 or 4 years in a row. That's half a decade or so in with the SF Giants with 2B Wander Franco, DH Juan Soto, LF Ronald Acuna, CF Cody Bellinger, 1B Vlad Guerrero Jr, 3B Fernando Tatis, RF Marco Luciano, MVP SS Luke Leto, and C Adley Rutchman. And that was just on the hitting side. Starters iirc were Jack Flaherty, Gerrit Cole (for 2 years), Shane Bieber, 2x Cy Young Cole Wilcox, with Chris Clarke, Emerson Hancock, Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter fighting for the 5th spot. Plus some great relief years from Edwin Diaz and JT Ginn

Definitely exploited the AI in trading

I'm still searching for my first 100-win season in my Mariners save.

The best record I've had is 98-64 so far.

Some of these records people are posting are really cool. After awhile, does it get boring and do you guys look for other teams to rebuild?

In my first serious OOTP save, taking over the Rockies in their inaugural season, they ended up winning 116 games in 2001, followed by 125 in 2002, and again 116 in 2003. But the only season that brought a championship was the 125-win season (of those three seasons anyway.)

And that's about when I decided to switch to fictional for more of a challenge. (Not that there aren't other ways to accomplish this too.) Although I tried not to give myself unfair advantages it is a bit too easy when you essentially know what a player's future is likely to hold.

not sure if this happens for others but an insane amount of the time when my game crashes, a very similar result happens when I re-sim
