New to Hockey draft question
We have a group of guys that play OOTP Baseball and we are starting a league with an initial draft of fictional players.
I know absolutely nothing about hockey. In what order would you draft players? C first? Should I try to get my first lineup before looking at backups? |

In hockey, there is not really a position that is more important than other. In the NHL entry draft, you should draft the best player available no matter the position. Forwards can pretty much easily adapt to other forward position and same with defense.
Depth is important in your lineup, try to balance it out I would say. If you spend 30 million on your first line (of forwards), you will not succeed. Managing the salary cap is very important. |
