This is the screen layout I've settled on. Can't even say how much it means to finally be able to read a players career stats. Just discovered a great mod in the Steam Workshop. Someone created uniforms and caps to go with with a lot of the nicknames OOTP uses when you ask the name to assign fictional nicknames. So very cool.

Wonder if this wonderful improvement will be short lived? I'm seeing others saying it's made the game unplayable for them. Ugh, I never wanted to ruin the enjoyment of others by asking for career stats to be readable.

We'll see what we can do to get both ways working. I've definitely seen plenty of comments from both sides of the spectrum about it.

Exactly. This new layout makes the game just about unplayable for me.

New spacing/width really needs to be made optional.

Better still, make the widgets scalable like Windows.

Cool. I really hope a workable solution for everyone can be found. The part of OOTP I love the most is watching a player accumulate career stats. Therefore, being able to actually read those career stats is huge.

I understand you liking to see them during the game. I always do my deep dives on stats elsewhere. I really do want to see what they did this year, etc. during a game.

While we're at it, how about making it easier to get to the spray chart for a hitter?

Still can't believe how great the game looks after the patch. 2D Classic has reached 99.7 percent perfection. My only complaint now would be the earthquake shakes. Very annoying, but easily dealt with. Such a great game.

I don't like the changes to 2-D myself. I understand folks like seeing the career stats but I prefer a bigger field. The added width to the widgets has made me have to go to a much smaller field to prevent overlapping.

Oh for some scalable widgets!

I actually tried the modern because of this. Really no better.

The modern view is just too. . . busy for me. Don't know how else to describe it.

Up to you what you use but out of curiosity did you know you can set the widgets in modern 3d to all disappear during the play leaving you with a full screen field and no obstructions?

The only drawback to modern 3d to me is I lost the "scoring updates" box off the top of the "out of town scoreboard". Super annoying as that box really upped the immersion factor. I request every year it be either returned or made as a stand alone widget. No luck so far but. I will never give up!!!
