Custom Game ECHL

I'm working on creating a custom game and I would like an ECHL-type of league below the minor league. What would be the best way to do this? Would it be better to attach it to the major league or minor league?

Attach it to the major league, you won't be able to affiliate the teams at the ECHL-level to the top-level league if you don't.

I'm jumping back on this thread because some of the teams in the extra minor league I created aren't connected to the major league and I can't figure out how to fix it.

What do you mean not connected? Affiliated? You would just need to change the affiliations on the Team Edits Pages I think.

Yes. I started with the NHL+AHL+CHL model and then added ANOTHER league affiliated to my NHL league but things got messed up and I can't edit the affiliations of the new league, just the AHL one

If you can upload that save (preferably while it's on July 1), I'll take a look and try to see why it's not allowing you to do that.

I uploaded it as "Custom Game ECHL." Here are some screenshots for reference. As you can see, this team has 2 farm teams but only 1 can be changed in the edit screen.

Looks like it's a limitation in custom games in general, not just your setup. I'm not sure why; standard games will allow editing of farm teams in two separate leagues, so it might just be something not being set properly in the custom data. I'll see if we can fix that, but at the moment it doesn't look like there's a workaround.

Ok, is there any hope of finding something or will that be an FHM 8 thing potentially?

Most likely for 8, yeah. And even if it could go into an update for 7, I suspect it wouldn't be retroactive, only for new games.

Then is there any way to transfer teams from this game into another game without having to completely redo everything? I'm thinking about this for all my junior teams that I spent a lot of time editing.

No, there's no way to export/import data to/from a league, (other than importing real players from the database.)

And if not, any way to open up 2 separate games in 2 separate windows at the same time to minimize the pain of completely remaking this world?

Hi, still wondering if either of those are possible. Thanks!

Did you delete your game previously when you say "old save files"? If so, no. Otherwise if you click "Load" they should still be there.

As for the second, not without having 2 copies of the game or 2 PCs.
