New League forming with SimSportsGaming

Hello all,

There is another thread regarding this league in the OOTP 21 section but posting here now that the online league thread is open for OOTP 22. Sim Sports Gaming (https://simsportsgaming.com) is a community that hosts online leagues across a number of different games and sports. It has a long running league in place since 2016 for OOTP Baseball. This league is unique in the sense that is a "real time sim". That league has run in real time for going on six years and it is highly successful and competitive, active GM's, content creation, podcasts, etc.

With the release of OOTP 22, sim sports gaming is creating a second league. I am going to serve as the commissioner of the league but decisions will be community based. This league is completing it's formation and decisions right now so it's a perfect time to join. It will be a live start so a perfect time to test your skills and knowledge as a GM of the current state of franchises.

This league will also follow the "real time sim" although right now the plan is to expedite the offseaon, putting season 2 during those long winter months of no "real" baseball. This will eventually keep the league slighty ahead of real life.

Orioles

Come join us. SSG is the only league I've been in for years. You will appreciate the commissioners, GMs, daily banters, etc. No wonder it's been here for so long.

Interested in the Red Sox, sent in the application. Will this league use the same settings for coaching and scouting as the other league?

This league is different than others I've been in. It's a one day sim per real life day. We are in current year 2021 following real life schedule. It's a different experience. I watch my team's game replay each day (turning on hide scores so I don't know if they have won or lost before watching the replay - more interesting that way). As I watch the game replay I get a different perspective on how each player is doing. I'm managing the Giants and we're at 32-25 in game (not quite SF's real life 35-21 but close). You'll notice that SF record is one game ahead of real life - that's because the sims are done at 4:00 pm CT daily and in real life the Giants haven't played their game this evening vs Cubs.

Anyway if you are interested in this type of league let the commish hetz23 know and he can tell you which teams are available.
