Historical rookies to original teams still broken build 51

Importing historical rookies to original teams was not fixed in the build 51 update? If this allegedly is supposed to be working, what should the settings be related to this? To put it mildly, I'm annoyed since I mainly play historical sims and the release notes specifically say this issue was resolved.

I haven't been able to get historical rookies into the game in any way ... Draft, Free Agents, Allocated to Team... It's like there's no data there at all...

You need the respective season purchased for the rookies to show up.

Thats weird because I get players showing up in 1977 and 1996.

The problem is not the free seasons. The problem is when one season rolls over to the next (purchased) season.

I have purchased all seasons on both iOS and Android and have the issue with both platforms. Rookies will import for me if I enable the draft, but not if I disable it to import rookies to original teams.

Developers: Do you have any response or comment on this issue?

I am looking into this again right now... I thought I had this fixed, and it worked fine in my ealier tests.

Edit: OK, I have tested this here, and it works perfectly fine, rookies import to their original teams the day after the playoffs ended if I disable the amateur draft. So I am really at a loss as to why this may happen to you.

I'm at a loss as well. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game on Android, but not on iOS as I'd rather not lose my games in progress on that one. I've tested with Enable Amateur Draft not checked and Disable automatic creation of free agents unchecked on the Rules tab, and on the Historical tab, Automatically import historical rookies checked and Import rookies as free agents unchecked. Do I need to set one or more of those differently?

Thank you for looking into this issue again for me. I've purchased every version of OOTP since version 8, and paid for the full set of seasons and 2021 season for Go on both iOS and Android. In all these years this is the first time I've had a serious issue like this that I've been unable to resolve.

EDIT: I did notice the game loading the database the day after the playoffs ended, but no rookies imported for me.

We're still investigating things. Hopefully we can narrow down whether it's a settings issue or device issue or what shortly.

I've had the same issue on three devices and two platforms. iPhone 11 and iPad 7th gen with iOS/iPadOS 14.6, 14.7 and 14.71, and Moto g7 on Android 10.

It happened to me too. I am using an iPad and was playing the 1901 Washington Senators. I had draft turned off and when the next season began there were about a dozen FA’s - some who should have been added to my team like Scoops Carey but no players were added to my team.I simmed two more seasons and no players were added to my team.

Then I simmed the 1901 season with the draft option on and there were many good players like Johnny Evers and Joe Tinker in the draft. I resimmed the season with no draft and none of these players appeared on any of the teams. It was as if the players in the draft had been deleted.

This should be pretty easy to replicate. Hope this helps.

No, this has NOT been fixed in patch 52. I just ran a couple of tests with different settings and nothing.

Developers: What the *bleep*? If this works for you, *PLEASE* tell us what draft related settings need to be set to. I'm way beyond frustrated with this feature not working as advertised.

All I do is disable the amateur draft, then the rookies for next year import to their proper team once the playoffs are over and the offseason starts.

That's what I've been doing, but I'm not getting any rookies to import. I have purchased all seasons for both iOS and Android and it's failing on both platforms for me.

3 - Simmed through the 1969 season
4 - Simmed until Opening Day 1970
5 - Searched for and found none of the players who debuted in 1970

At least I know I'm not crazy or the only person having issues with this feature not working.
