Can you "live start" to play the 2021 Playoffs?

I tried using the end of season date, using the new custom game>mlb live start but i just get an error message "live update failed". When the game loads the season starts in April

I just want to play from the final standings and play/sim the playoffs? TY

Tried live start a few times. Seems like a bit of a mess, needs the kinks ironed out

Since I have never tried playing with live stats, I was wondering if Im not setting it up correctly? If I use end of season stats and pick a date say Oct. 4th, shouldn't it bring me to before the first wild card game? I guess Im just not sure if that is what it is meant to do, but would like to play out the rest of the 2021 playoffs with the actual teams.

This sounded like a bout idea, so I gave it a go. After about 15 minutes of downloading box scores, the game went into an "updating player data " mode and then crashed to desk top.

So perhaps not the best idea. In another thread I mentioned the laptop I'm using which is more than adequate for game play.

I tested it out yesterday and the live start worked fine for me. It loaded up to day 1 of the playoffs.
