Ice Rink Template 2021

Looks like we will have some fun with the rinks in FHM8. There will finally be degrading ice surface as the period plays out, and I am happy to see the 2D crowd being added (similar to OOTP's 2D graphics).

Of course I'll be doing updates to all my rinks in the coming year. This time I specifically focus on the ice scratch. Any modder interested in doing arenas should find this template useful:

Just adjust the layer opacity to various stages

Is there specific naming criteria for the ice degradation etc?

If you look in FHM7 rink pics folder, there are already files that show degrading ice (playfield0~playfield3). I guess the dev team had this planned for a while already but the game doesn't use them yet. I assume FHM8 will finally be utilizing them. As for how we can mod these and how to name our files, we'll have to wait until official release to know for sure!

Thank you for this template. I started creating some rinks for my custom league.

Cant wait to implemented them in FHM8!
