More pitching motions and batting stances, please!

I enjoy the fact that pitchers throw sidearm, 3/4, or overhand. I'd like to see even more of these, plus a variety of hitting stances for hitters. I'd also love to see a system in which a. the stances made a difference (for instance, a hitter with a closed stance might hit to the opposite field more often, a guy with a crouched stance might have a very small bump to their ability to draw walks at the cost of some power, and so on) and b. coaches changed them with players who are going through slumps, but for a first iteration just having different players have different set stances that I could adjust in the editor would be all kinds of awesome.

That would be cool.
Along with ability to add mulitple photos per player.
This is pretty advanced. Maybe we can get sortable team stats first : )
Then we your feature comes out we can sort the teams on who has the most Open Stanced hitters : )

For fictional players only, right?

Why not for historical players as well? They’d probably have to be randomly assigned at first but if you can go in and edit them, sure, why not? Surely you’re not implying that we should have all players keep the base animation because seeing Rickey Henderson with an open stance would make you feel bad, right?

This is something that’d be worked on by entirely different teams. They’d be adding a new field to player data but mostly this is something the graphics guys would be implementing.

I can't speak for Brad K, but you lost me at the prospect of having attributes modified by the batting stance/pitching motion assigned to the player. It gets even worse when you're talking about "randomly" assigning them at first.
My other question is, what about the people that just sim games ? How does that affect their sim ? Do they have to drill down all the way into the editor to figure out Juan Soto drawing 50 less walks than normal is due to being assigned the wrong stance randomly ?

If you want it for the aesthetics part of it only - I'm all for it.
Leave attribute changes out of the equation.

It's OK for appearance but I'm against it changing their ratings as has been suggested. Normal randomness plus whatever influences we don't know about already create too many implausible performances for my taste.

Like I said, as an MVP for the first iteration, I’d be perfectly happy with just the graphics. Any talk of them having an effect on attributes (the way pitching motions do for example) can wait until later.
