DH and fatigue
Does anybody know how DH’ing affects player fatigue level?
I’ve see posts that show DH will maintain same fatigue level, but not get more tired or rested. Does anybody have a study on this? Thanks guys! |

I've had frustrations that DH fatigue in OOTP22 seems out of touch with how it works in real life. I have Gabriel Moreno in my sim (and a good defensive backup) so was trying to use him at DH more to keep his bat in the lineup - similar to Sal Perez maybe - and it just doesn't work in OOTP.
I had one specific stretch that stuck out where a 6-day period for him was: Off Day (when he rested fully / wasn't overworked previously) / C / C / DH / DH / DH and by Day 7 he was down to 41% rested. |

Yeah, DH fatigue/rest is an interesting concept.
There should probably be a threshold somewhere where it shifts from fatigue to rest. For example, if a player is at 100% rested, being the DH should count "against" rest. However, if the player is below, say, 50% rested, being the DH should count as a "rest" day, but with maybe half or a quarter of the affect completely sitting out would do. I've not ever really paid attention, but how does the game handle pinch-hitting in these circumstances also? |
