Game drops off

I can play all phases of the game 3D, 2D or web. Let's say if I start by playing 3D and after the game go to 2D it drops off to my desktop. Any ideas for correction or what the problem is? I've tried everything, but it keeps doing it. I thought about buying the game again and starting from scratch to see if that works, buy if it doesn't I'm out $35.00.

Is it happening when you select start game from the pregame lineups screen? I've been getting that on occasion if I switch between 3D Classic and 2D Classic. It's fine making the switch in game, but then the next game I start on occasion will drop to desktop.
