And to anticipate the first question: planned release time for FHM8 on Steam is today, October 26, at 6:00 AM Pacific Time (9 AM Eastern, 3 PM CET.) Other platforms (Fastspring, Apple Store, Epic Store) should follow shortly.

If you start the game in multiplayer mode, yes.

Were there any tweaks make to adjust the offensive numbers put up by high end players in their early to mid thirties? In the majority of my games in FHM7 Draisaitl, Matthews, McDavid etc very often put up their peak seasons between 30 and 35.

Can you add special abilities to your own custom player when creating players?

Yeah, if you have a look at the changes list there are a couple of things directed at doing that. I'm still not completely satisfied with the way it's working, though, so there'll likely be more adjustments in the future.

Not yet, but it should be relatively easy to add. We'll have to take a look at what restrictions to put on it, though, to prevent nonsensical combinations (goalies with skater abilities, players who are blind in both eyes, etc.)

From the FHM 8 change list....
"players claimed on waivers now get a temporary no movement clause for the remainder of the season, preventing them from being sent down or traded"

Why ?

License question

Hello

Will I be able to install this on two different machines with one license (laptop and desktop) like I can do with OOTP 22?

Thanks!

Kinda how it works IRL. You can put them on waivers again though no?

Because that's the closest way we can approximate the real rule that requires them to be offered back to their original team before being traded or demoted. Implementing that would break the roster management AI badly, so instead we model the actual effect: players claimed on waivers rarely get sent down or traded. And it also prevents the cheap tactic of using waiver claims to collect players that you immediately trade away.

Yes, the standalone version will work like that. Steam lets you install on as many machines you want.

Did I read the change list correctly? Is importing saves from FHM7 not available upon release? If so, do you have a general idea as to when this will be available?

Standard and custom FHM7 games can be imported right now, historical games will require a little more work due to some of the changes required by the new nonplayable junior/college/European leagues. Should be ready in the first update.

So if I understand this correctly, once you successfully claim a player on waivers he takes up a slot on your active roster for the rest of that season and there is nothing you can do to shift him. Is that right ?

Yes, unless he gets hurt and can be put on the IR.

Would we be able to edit players line chemistry rating in the commissioner mode?

Will there be the ability to create interleague tournaments between junior leagues at some point?

Sorry, I mistakenly included that as an editing example on the change list, it's coming but not in yet.
