Scores too low in 2D ?

Hi ,

I manage and coach a team in the QJMHL as the Québec Remparts and
using the 2D game view to simulate games. The average goals / game in the real league is 7. In FHM 9 all i get is scores like 3-1, 2-0, 1-0....After 10 games i have a average of 3.8 goals/ games. By looking at the games from
other teams controlled by AI, the average is much closer to reality...

Anything can be done here ?

It was producing good results at the NHL level the last time I checked, but I'll have a look at how it's doing with the lower-level leagues. We'll be making some changes to the 2D mechanics for the final update, so I'll have to do some rebalancing regardless, and I'll keep an eye on that specifically.

So you are saying that the games you are coaching in are much lower scoring of the games that are totally controlled by AI.

Maybe it’s the coaching. Maybe your team is set up to be defensive minded like the New Jersey Devils of the mid 90s.
