Fictional leagues bug
Here
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...08#post5001208 My own experience is that BABIP is in fact broken in the new version for fictional leagues as well. I imagine the game engine will right it, but if the post here is a sign, any updates to individual player BABIP, or if you have mixed historical/fictional league, will result in any player with a game generated or added in BABIP rating being better than eight Jim Palmers.

So I've noticed that since switching over from 23 to 24 and using the same LTMs, the leaguewide BABIP is now .322 instead of .276. In an entirely fictional league you can just update your LTMs, which works, kind of (I bet that any of the "pitches that affect LTMs" sugar that was introduced in 22 and 23 is completely gone, however). That said, if you have any kind of hybridized historical/fictional league (for instance, a game that begins in the modern day) or just want to update a particular player to give them BABIP power, whoever has any kind of BABIP rating will completely dominate the league in that category.
Still waiting for a response...

I started to run a fictional league and I'm not entirely sure it'll do what I think it will... nevertheless just playing with the editor the default rating is I guess based on the LTM BABIP because when I look at guys in my league it gives them ratings of like .290 (still way too high for my league but lower than the +.300 that the other user reported). Issuing a player a rating of 100 means they still have a BABIP of around .307; in order to get them back to the calculated default rating you usually have to assign them a rating of 130 or higher.

I ran a test league and was all like "wow, that was inconclusive" before I realized that I didn't hit enter on the BABIP values because they're still all zero. I am dumb.
