Quick Rostered question about using random players from all eras
I’ve searched the forum and the web for the answer to this question but maybe I’m not phrasing it right:
Is there anyway to have the random players be the teams they played for, rather then be in a draft pool? Or at least played the most years for. For example, Roger Clemens played for a bunch of different teams, but he played the most years for the Red Sox. Therefore, if I used random players, he would debut on the Red Sox. Is there any way to do this? Or do you just have to run a draft? |

There is not a way to do this with settings.
You could essentially make this work yourself by randomly choosing players on your own and manually importing those players into your universe. |

If the players appear on their respective teams, it might make it a fun “Potluck” historical season, where are you try to win with the roster you get but all the players are on their historically correct team. It would be a different take on playing a historical season replay. Yes, you pick the year you want to replay, only the roster is filled with players from different eras on their historically correct team, This could based on a few parameters like, players are on the team they debuted with, players are on the team they played the most seasons with, set a specific era You’d like the players to be pulled from (already an option now) |

There's the all-time QS option, although this limits it to only the best players.
