Trading issue / shopping player
Here's something starting to bothering me and been an issue since forever in this game when it comes to trading older but still elite player in the league. So I was starting a game with Pittsburgh and wanted to either trade Malkin or Crosby and build around younger player. I tried going on the trade screen and get something decent there without succes. So I tried shopping a player and remembered how the trading system was broke.
![]() ![]() Makes no sense to trade a 5 star player for a no-name player and and 4th pick. On the other side If I would offer that kind of deal but to acquire a 5 star old player I would never get accepted It made me close the game I started. I mean if trading doesnt make sense in a GM game why bothering too long |

Shopping a player with a lot of term left tells the AI that you're trying to drop them. They'll add the age factor as well, and so the offers that come in will reflect that. If you want better offers, the Trade Block should get significantly better results.

Yeah if you want better players and or draft picks for your players, you're better doing the trades yourself. More often than not the AI thinks you're salary dumping, which is why the game needs a "Team Needs" that the user can set like EHM has that tells the AI this is what you're looking for when it comes to trades.
