Saving rosters to import in another league
Started a new league with 18 teams (with college teams as my "major league". I really like the team that I took over and am already attached to some of the players (especially my No. 1 pitcher and starting SS).
BUT, I really screwed up some technical aspects of league during set-up (scheduling, financials, etc). I would love to be able to start my league over and fix my miscues. Is there a way I can save these rosters and import them into my new game? (I am using the same teams and same format). That would be amazing. I spent the whole day on the draft and would hate to have that day wasted.

best way -- in future make a template during game creation -- this should rrsult in new seed players each time. OR a template after creation which will start with the same set of original players each time.
i make templates throughout creation process in case i screw up a later step that takes time, then delete the work in progress templates later. Also, can make a league backup - Rename "That" folder or move it so it doesn't get incremental updates if you use the backup function again. Can simply do a full backup after you move/rename and that will restart the automatic incrementally updated backup, if you stil want it going. If you move or rename the backupfolder, you need to do the longer "full backup" after that to get more than basic info backed up. e.g. histroy not related to league/individual statistics. trades, injuries, news stories etc...needs a new full backup if starting fresh. Good to do that before any major settings changes or somethign you need to zoom out 5-10-20 years to make sure it functions properly - like mil rules regarding service time and age.... |
