Media interaction contradictory

The media says the player played badly and was a factor in loss but 1st possible response says player was a factor in loss, despite what media thinks.

Contradictory.

In fact it's agreeing with the media.

No possible response says the player did, in fact, play well.

You get similarly confusing messages when the media decides a loss is not a given player's fault.

wow, was just coming here to post this as it just happened in my game. At the risk of sounding salty, rather than adding new features that don't really work, can we just get that time investing in fixing broken things already in the game...trading, waivers (actual NHL rules and exemptions), salary retention slots, and/or 2D engine tweeks?

Yeah, that should be a "wasn't", not a was, we'll fix that.

Edit, looking further, that's not it, the problem is that the response set is also wrong here, but this time it's giving the "media praise after loss" responses instead of the "media criticism" ones. Something odd is going on here, going to have to investigate more.

That's actually the response set for the media praising a player after a win, mixed with the title and text for media praising them after a loss. That was actually a loss for your team, right?

In my historical play thorugh, I haven't seen anything media related. I didn't think it was for current saves only or if I forgot to check something in initial league setup.

May just have not had the right conditions happen yet. I've definitely been getting them in the historical games I've played.

(Edit - it also depends on which team you're playing, teams that get more aggressive media coverage like Montreal will see a lot more of it than, say, Arizona.)

Playing as the Blue Jackets. And media is pretty used to them sucking. So maybe that's why. LOL

Correct that was after a loss for my team.
