Anyone Have This Prob w NeL ratings?

I thought I reach out to you historical players to see if anyone has encountered a problem I reported in the bugs forum with NeL player ratings. I had this problem in 24 as well but never reported it. I've copied and pasted my post below.

"Another problem I'm having with NeL player ratings, which is a problem I had on OOTP 24 as well, is there is a difference with how the player ratings get imported on a season that starts a new game and the season that carries over from a saved game. So for instance, if I start a game in 1920, minor leagues on, one year recal, double weighted, all development features off, scouting off, zero on all adjustment hitter/pitcher settings, the player ratings are what I believe the developers currently intended. But when I start a season in 1919 with the same settings, and the game carries over to 1920 there is huge drop in ratings. So in the case of one player, Oscar Charleston's rating on a 80/20 scale when starting a game in 1920 gets imported at 65/50/70/55, but when starting a game in 1919 that carries over to 1920, Charleston's 1920 ratings get imported at 25/35/45/40. And this is the case with all players that aren't first season players.

Any idea why there would be different ratings imported for a start season compared to carry over season despite all the settings being exactly the same?"

I've never had the advancing by year issue, but I have had problems with the ones that appear in the game organically - playing/simming as years pass versus poor import results when trying to import a singular layer into a given year (this occurred in 23 and 24). At some point they'll likely get the NeL all sorted. I imagine it is hard having a subset of the MiLB database treated differently than those on the MLB one.

Thanks for the reply. If you don’t mind, what are your settings when you play with NeL minor leagues on? I also wonder if my import issue is related to using a Mac. Where the game files are located on a Mac appears to be a problem for developers. And yes, I agree, I think a lot of the issues with the NeL is the game structurally has to treat it as if it’s a minor league while trying to give it major league status.
