Eugene Church Needs Help To Set Up Historical All-Star League

I would like to create an all-time all-star league using the 16 original teams only with no automatic expansion in the 1960s, no minor leagues and no financials... players of different eras will eventually play in the league.

I will not use player development... I just want the players to play like their real careers.
I will set injuries very low... just to have some... will also use suspensions, too... just to have a little bit of realism.
Is it possible to remove a career-ending injury should they occur... could I reactivate the player and he would still have his career stats in the game.
Is there a way to prevent a player's real stats from appearing on the BNN page?
I only want his stats in my league listed.

I am trying to create my ultimate and final OOTP Dynasty League... this will be my perfect league and last one... the league will start in 1946 and proceed to the year 1961... then I will reverse it back to 1946... I don't want to play the early 1960s when pitching completely dominated baseball... it will be the 16 original franchises, using silvam14's wonderful logos and jerseys... I plan to manually import each team's top 30 players from 1901 to 1920 to begin the league... active roster will be 25 players... at least 5 on the reserve roster in case of injury or poor performance... a total of 480 players... when I need new rookies each season I will go to the team's top players from 1921 to 1930... and continue that way until I reach the current-day stars.

I would like to know if this league is possible before I import 480 players manually... if you folks say no, I will not persue this allstar league, I will just create a simple fictional league... I want to use real players because I know them and their abilities... I won't have to learn them like I would a fictional league.

I have created several test leagues just to get used to the choices I am given, but I haven't played any games yet... no players do far... sorry, I don't know which choices are best... the manual does not explain it very well.

I am depending on you historical experts to give me advice.
I think I need to use the OOTP database with .odt on it.
I will mix players from different baseball eras... I think I should import rookies using "random rookies form all eras".

I plan to recalculate each season so the stats will be based on that year... So should I use recalculate each year?
Is this good or bad?
I see in another historical thread that there is much debate about players that don't play much and don't have much in the way of stats... this can result in inflated numbers by poor players... should I be concerned with this?

Do not know which of these choices to make:
Career totals, remaining years, peak seasons of career and remaining Peak Seasons.
If career totals will do the job, that would be fine with me.

I realize a league composed of all "star" players that not all the stars will be stars... some stars will just be good, some average and some mediocre... I just hope the best players will be the best players in my league.

I will not use "player development"... no minor leagues... no trading... no financials... no automatic expansion.

Do any of you game experts know how to completely disable financials so they will not appear in the teams' financial report?
I know how to "disable" financials... I have checked that for over 20 years, but the game still show a financial report.
this is very minor... I just thought some of you knowledgable folks would know how to completely stop the financial part of the game.

Hope y'all can help me.

The graphics for all the 16 original teams are installed in the game for the 1946 season, thanks to the wonderful guys on the Mod Forum.
They patiently showed me, a dunce technologically, how to download silvam14's wonderful sets of historical logos, jerseys and caps.
For the first time in over 20 years I managed with their help to download the file folder from mediafire, unzip it and install it in the game.
Sweed even gave me detailed instructions on how to use the "Filter" system when the game would not let me see team jerseys because the folder was too large.

Now I just need some advice on how to best set up my MLB Premier League, using just the best players from each of the 16 original franchises.
So far, so good.
Unless you historical experts tell me otherwise, it looks like my plan may work.

I just need to know the best settings to create the league.

Do I need to condense and simplify which settings I need help with?

My description may be too complex and hard to understand.

What is the best photos pack to get for a historical league?

Does facegen in the game create historical photos?

Facegen files https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=352945

Photo packs https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=334776

Checkout the historical section for advice on setting up league. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...lay.php?f=4061

You can import historical players using a text file. Search past versions on importing historical players. I posted info on how to do it plus others added more info. First you need to research who you want on the team. Depends on your point of view. Are you looking for the best offensive players or do you want longevity (games played for the franchise)? Otherwise Willie Mays would be on the Mets. Some people don't want duplicates, such as Nolan Ryan on two teams.

Much appreciate the photo links and the historical setup thread.

I'm going to have to manually import my players... I want specific players... the teams will be composed of the best players on each of the 16 original franchises, beginning with the top performers from 1901-1920... players will play for the team where they played the most games or had the most success... Willie Mays will play for the New York Giants... players that play for a lot of teams will be difficult to assign a team... Nolan Ryan would play for California or Houston... probably the Angels... however, he won't ever play in my league... neither team was an original franchise.

Thanks for being active with the ballpark graphics... you are a blessing to the OOTP Community... you are always willing to give people help and advice.
